Britton today... Britton tomorrow

We have been married now over 6 weeks.  In some ways it seems hard to believe its been that long, in some ways it seems crazy that its only been 6 weeks! It is hard to remember not having a husband and even harder to remember going weeks at a time without seeing him.  We have been beyond blessed in this initial season.  Our transition has been easy, smooth, wonderful.  We love seeing each other daily and just hanging out with each other.

I have yet to obtain a teaching job or even get an interview.  With every passing day, the less likely it seems that I will.  I have mixed emotions about this but mostly I feel at peace with it.  I am confident that the Lord has something else for me if I am not supposed to teach right now.  I am thankful for this low-stress and extra time filled season to learn how to serve my husband and keep up with house stuff.  I am hoping to learn how to run the rental property business and be able to take that load off of Lanie.  Right now, it seems overwhelming and we have a lot to do to get things running smoothly. I am excited about learning though!

Sunday marked 5 years since the non-wedding, since feeling and almost believing life would never be as full or happy again.  Wow, the Lord is indeed faithful when we are faithless!  I couldn't have written a sweeter story or believed that I would be given a husband that loves me so much. I am so thankful for where the Lord has brought me and even for the heartache that He brought me through.  We are truly refined through trials and know Him better because of them! If you are reading this, He used you in that process, so thank you!

Ok, Again, for the 10th time, I'm going to try to be better about posting.  And post more frequently and therefore some more fun, less heavy updates.  I just want to keep ya'll up to date on my life here and let you in on what is going on!  I think it would be more fun to read on here than to write in emails. Also, I think I need a new blog name...suggestions???
