The birthday that keeps on going...

I woke up this morning a little sad that my birthday was indeed over...until my husband looked at me and some of his first words were "happy birthday week". Seriously, he is amazing.  He loves me and loves celebrating me.  What a gift.

I have had a wonderful birthday week.  It started in Columbia this past weekend.  The gamecocks had a huge win over Georgia Saturday night, which was beyond exciting.  Sunday we had lunch at my parents and the whole fam came over to celebrate.  We had a wonderful meal and yummy birthday cake! I'm so glad we got to go, I just wish we had more time! I am beyond thankful for my family.

My big girl niece, Emily :)
Wednesday night I got to celebrate my bday with all of Lan's family (my family now).  It was so great.  We went out to eat at Chuy's and then back to his parents' for yet another amazing birthday cake.  It was so so fun. Mariruth happened to be on Fall break and was therefore in town too! It was my first birthday as a Britton and they definitely made me feel completely loved and appreciated. Beyond thankful for the family I married into.

Yesterday was my actual birthday and it started with these first thing in the morning! It was impossible to have a bad day after that! They are seriously beautiful.

I then got to meet my favorite person for lunch at one of my favorite places, Tomato Head. It was delicious.

Some girls here met up later in the afternoon for some ice cream.  They were so kind to even think of me! The rest of the day was filled with receiving lots of phone calls, texts and facebook posts.  There is something really sweet and encouraging about being remembered on your birthday.  I don't need or want to be made much of, I know that I am nothing special apart from Jesus. However, it is so wonderful to be reminded of all the people who love and care for you. It is a reminder of the Lord's faithfulness. I am blessed and looking forward to what God has in store for my last year in my 20's!
